Be forewarned, the following is another one of my "OMG PEEPULZ R CHANJING LOLOLOL" posts.
So I went to church today as usual, and lo and behold an old friend of mine was there. And let me put 'old' into perspective, we've maybe been friends for 3-4 years and enjoyed cruising around and just enjoying ourselves during summers. We kinda fell apart when I left for Calgary, but once I returned we went out for pizza. He's pretty fun to be around, and quite intelligent. It frustrates me sometimes that he doesn't have the drive to be something impressive. But, to his credit, he at least knows he's lazy.
Anyways, isn't usually the church going type, and when I talked to him (and met the girl he brought) I discovered he's engaged. Apparently they're aiming to tie the knot around the end of May. Yeah, I told him I'd probably be working in Alberta at the time, but I think I'd be willing to fly back out for a weekend. That is, assuming I get invited. Like I said, we haven't really hung out a lot over the past two or three years.
So I guess this kind of shook me up that a close friend is getting married. I really hope everything goes well, and that his lazies don't get in the way. He was always good with the lady folk, something I admire him for, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that he's found his ultimate catch. I guess things like this are a bit of a rough awakening to how you're doing versus your peers. Makes me wonder how I stack up to others my age. But now I'm just rambling, so I present some art:
Been a pretty sub-par week sketching wise, that's about the best I have to offer for the last seven days worth of work.
This week I have a Midterm in Music. I just got the songs onto my computer today, so I can begin to memorize the composer and title. Then I have to go over my notes - there are a lot of dates and facts, this semester of the course has been pretty note-heavy. Might make the midterm fairly unpleasant.
I've been hit with some lazies myself as of late, and that may be in part to just getting Knights of The Old Republic installed last week. It's rather embarrassing that I beat it already, but like I've always said - I'm a sucker for a videogame with good story telling. I'm not too fond of it being an RPG, but overall it was an excellent game.
Anyways, go here and look at the top banner and nav bar: http://hvw.solarbotics.com/
That's all me baby. Well, I didn't code it, but I did the photoshop work. Dunno why I think it's such a big deal.

Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose
To get the sun back in the sky
Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose
About a thousand kisses shy
Ding dong ding
I can hear the chapel bell chime
Ding dong ding
At the least suggestion I'll pop the question
Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose
Without a sweetheart to my name
Lida Rose, now everyone knows
That I am hoping you're the same
So here is my love song, not fancy or fine
Lida Rose, oh won't you be mine
Lida Rose, oh Lida Rose oh Lida Rose
