No bidniss like snow bidniss

Yup, we got our first snowfall last night. One, maybe two inches worth of wet snow - We briefly lost power too. I was a bored last night (not wanting to turn my computer back on in case the power would go again) so I dusted off the car and went out for a drive with Rob. We found a deserted parking lot (that had already been abused like what we had in mind) and had a bit of fun. Mind you, it was partly educational - this is the first time I've driven my car in snow, and I really wanted to get a feel for how it handles. It is such a front wheel drive. We were only out for 15-20mins, but by the end I was able to do a bit of power slides with counter-steering and everything. I want to go out again so I can practice different ways of braking and turning in the snow. I really want to be familiar with how my car handles.

And of course, in true Lower Mainland fashion the snow is now melting down into a wonderfully slippery and wet slush concoction. Things are dripping and damp. I'm going to have to plan out a different route to school - that vicious hill that I usually take scares me. I'm so hosed if I get stuck.

Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play
Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day
The sun is up, the sky is blue
It's beautiful and so are you
Dear Prudence won't you come out to play

Dear Prudence open up your eyes
Dear Prudence see the sunny skies
The wind is low the birds will sing
That you are part of everything
Dear Prudence won't you open up your eyes?
